Our Story

CCC was established in 1946 by the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel. The beautiful story of Christian Center Church is comprised completely in the unique make-up of the individuals who call CCC their home. Although vastly different in their journeys, there are 3 cords that bind each of us together.

We Are…

We are real people infused with dynamic faith, committed to a common vision, joined together in the covenant love of our Creator.

We Used to Be…

We used to be completely broken but are now grateful for undeserved redemption, astonished by amazing Grace, healed by forgiveness and humbled by the divine invitation to be included in the greatest cause on earth.

We Serve…

We serve a good and perfect God. The nations are His dwelling and our lives are His vessels. We have compassion for the poor, needy, and marginalized and our hearts are open to all.

Our core values

The Word of God - The Bible is key to knowing and doing God’s will (2 Timothy 3:16-17). The Bible introduces us to the living Word of God, Jesus Christ, who came in the flesh (John 1:14).

Prayer - Nothing should be done without prayer (Proverbs 3:5-6). Prayer is a way of life, a state of being. We are to pray without ceasing. Everything we say, think, or do is as unto the Lord, therefore a form or worship and prayer and should be revered as such (Colossians 3:23).

Evangelism - We believe that an effective church serves its community and treats everyone with love, respect, and dignity. We love people, therefore we strive to reach them with the gospel. (Matthew 28)

Emotional Health - It's impossible to be spiritually mature, while remaining emotionally immature (Philippians 4:6-7). Our discipleship pathway focuses on our emotional and spiritual health as we mature in Christ (Ephesians 4:13-15).

Healthy Relationships - As we mature in Christ, the relationships we build around us will also mature. Often we can gauge the level of our maturity by how we engage with others, the easy and the difficult. Our relationships serve to refine our walk with God. We will positively change our world as we invite people into our lives, our church, and our walk with God.  (1 Corinthians 12:14-21)

Servant Leadership - All Christians of all ages are called to be leaders in all places (John 13:1-17, Philippians 2:7-8).  We follow the example of Christ in our leadership as we serve those around us by feeding them, clothing them, healing them, and loving them.

Character - We believe that character is more important than talent. (Romans 5:4) Many are talented, yet lack integrity. We believe that integrity does not imply perfection, but a willingness to confess our sins and allow our lives to be an ever perfecting journey towards wholeness in Jesus Christ.

Creativity and Innovation - We bear the image of God - a God who creates life and continues to breathe life into us every day. God has inspired us each with unique talents and gifts. We are constantly looking for fresh and new ways to breathe life into the tenants of our faith and express the ancient traditions of the Church. We believe it is evidence of the inspiration of the Holy Spirit in our midst when we are moved in creativity and innovation (Matthew 13:52).
